DEBT COLLECTION SERVICE AND ISSUES RELATED TO OUTSTANDING INVOICES

On what basis was my debt transferred to Julianus Inkasso for collection?

If an invoice for goods or services remains unpaid, your service provider (the creditor) has the right to contact Julianus Inkasso to initiate debt collection through a collaboration agreement.

Alternatively, the creditor may decide to transfer the debt, in which case all contractual rights are assigned to Julianus Inkasso, who becomes your new creditor.

I haven’t received an invoice prior to this claim. What should I do?

  • Ensure your contact details (email address, phone number and postal address) are up to date with your service provider.
  • Check your junk or spam folders.
  • Review your service provider’s contract to understand if and how invoices are sent. For instance, some companies only issue invoices once a certain threshold is reached or once a year.
  • If you haven’t received an invoice, it is essential to actively request a copy.

Not receiving an invoice does not exempt you from the obligation to pay it on time.

Delays in payment will incur interest and collection fees.

The claim is baseless because I haven’t received supporting documents.

Every claim has a basis, which may include an invoice, contract, correspondence, fine, etc. Due to data protection requirements, Julianus Inkasso does not send supporting documents with debt notices; verifying your identity is necessary before providing supporting documentation.

To access supporting or additional documentation, please send your inquiry to: meeldetuletus@julianus.ee. For further questions, contact us via our customer support chat available on the lower right corner of the Julianus website, or call: +372 681 4456.

Why do I have to pay my debt to Julianus Inkasso and not to the service provider?

If your service provider has chosen Julianus Inkasso for debt collection, Julianus Inkasso handles the process and has the most accurate information about your debt. This means that the quickest way to resolve the debt is to pay the full outstanding amount to Julianus Inkasso’s account.

Once payment is received, debt collection ceases, your service provider is informed and any payment default listed on Taust.ee will be marked resolved.

Once the debt is fully paid, the status in the Taust.ee payment default register will be updated to “Resolved” with the resolution date added.

I received a payment reminder from Julianus Inkasso, but I’ve already paid the debt. Why must I pay the collection fee?

If you made the payment after the invoice due date and debt collection has already commenced at Julianus Inkasso, you are required to pay both the principal debt and any applicable interest and collection fees.

If you paid the original service provider, please send proof of payment to: meeldetuletus@julianus.ee. Interest and collection fees must be paid to Julianus Inkasso’s account.

Easily manage this in Julianus Inkasso’s Self-Service portal HERE.

For questions, contact our customer support chat on the lower right corner of the Julianus website or call: +372 681 4456.

Debt collection continues until the full debt, including collection fees is settled and your information remains on the Taust.ee payment default register until then.

Once the debt is fully paid, the status in the Taust.ee payment default register will be updated to “Resolved” with the resolution date added.

Under this authorization, Julianus Inkasso has the right to process contact information provided by the creditor without the individual’s consent.
